So Many OoCR Online Interventions to Choose From

Laptop screen displaying online interventions, text reads "So Many OoCR Online Interventions to Choose From" and "Diversion Manager," glass of water nearby.

Digital Out of Court Resolution (OoCR) platforms, like Diversion Manager, have transformed how police forces address offences. The platform provides over 20 specialised interventions with flexibility and accessibility for addressing behavioural and social challenges.  These interventions are hosted by our unique platform, which is fully configurable to each agency's needs, allowing users to provide data sets that help with HMICFRS Peel assessments for the management of offenders for either deferred prosecutions or the new two tier plus framework.  The platform is not limited to this and can support Community Safety Partnerships(CSP) in delivering outcomes which support addressing behaviours that harm communities through the use of meaningful behaviour modification courses.

The platform is designed to address the data gaps which currently exist in compliance, effectiveness, recidivism and disparity.  The platform allows agencies to have the data they need when they want it.  Moreover, the platform is designed in line with the RAND recommendations and supports the delivery of the upcoming Codes of Practice and the guidance from the College of Policing.  The platform can also allow the victim to follow the offenders' journey where they have collaborated with the agency on a suitable diversion from more traditional routes such as court.

What makes Diversion Manager particularly noteworthy is its comprehensive approach to intervention programmes. From substance misuse and anger management to more specific issues like revenge pornography and knife crime, each intervention is carefully crafted using evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and transformative learning methods. The platform's versatility is evident in its tiered approach, offering both standard and Level 2 interventions for more complex cases. This flexibility allows practitioners to tailor the intervention to the individual's specific needs and circumstances. Each programme typically takes 1-2 hours to complete, and the user-friendly interface allows participants to pause and resume at their convenience.

While designed for self-led learning, these interventions can be effectively integrated into existing programmes by safer schools or youth offending teams.  The programmes can be deployed by community agencies also for behaviours that breach environmental legislation such as littering, fly tipping and waste carriage offences where tradiitional fixed penalty notices or CPNWs can be augmented by education rather than simple punitive fines.   This versatility makes it an invaluable tool for various stakeholders in the criminal justice and social services sectors.
